Calvary loves the Nations

We believe that Jesus deserves to receive worship from every one of these people from every tribe, tongue, and nation, and we believe that this will be accomplished as our church fulfills the Great Commission of making disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18-20). To do this effectively, we work closely with local partners and Southern Baptist missions agencies to meet people’s physical and spiritual needs in places all over the world.

Our Partners

Queens, New York – Lightcast Church

Queens is one of the most diverse places in the world, with 138 different languages spoken by it’s 2.3 million residents, and almost half of the people who live there were born outside the US. We partner with Lightcast Church to share the Gospel with people from all over the world.

Salt Lake City, Utah – Christ Fellowship Church

Salt Lake City is home to the cult of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (or LDS) and is one of the most unreached cities in the US. We work with Christ Fellowship Church to help them reach people who are part of the LDS cult with the Gospel.

South Asia

South Asia is home to billions of people and many have never heard – or had the opportunity to hear – the …Gospel. We work with a local partner to reach these unreached people and shine a light in the darkest place in the world.

RIFA (Regional Inter-Faith Association)

We assist RIFA in reaching out with the love of Christ to help people in need by providing physical and spiritual nourishment.

Good News Club or Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF)

The Good News Club lead by Patti Hale meets during after school care at Arlington Elementary School and exists to be a doorway for gospel conversations with kids and their families.

Room in the Inn Homeless Ministry

By working with Area Relief Ministries, Calvary serves local homeless men through providing food and shelter one weekend per month. This program has given shelter from winter elements to hundreds of men while building life-changing relationships.

Birth Choice

Birth Choice is a pro-life, non-profit, Christian pregnancy clinic. We seek to empower women and men in West TN to choose life for their babies and eternal life in Christ. All services provided are free.

Our Nation

Church Planting

We partner with the North American Mission Board (NAMB) to plant churches in “Send Cities” all over North America that have very little gospel witness. So far we’ve sent people to Salt Lake City, UT and Denver, CO.

Disaster Relief

Our Disaster Relief team of volunteers stand ready at a moment’s notice and are often early responders in times of destructive storms. We help provide hot meals, shower trailers, child care, laundry services, structural repair, and a gospel witness in times of crisis.

Mission Trips

Of the 7 billion people in the world today, only 1 billion are Christian (according to the most generous estimates). That means that 6 billion people who inhabit our planet are lost in darkness and sin. Of these 6 billion who are lost, over 3.5 billion have never heard the gospel of Jesus Christ. There are 16,699 people groups in the world, and 6,900 of them are considered unreached. We believe that Jesus deserves to receive worship from every one of these people from every tribe, tongue, and nation, and we believe that this will be accomplished as our church fulfills the Great Commission of making disciples of all nations (see Matthew 28:18-20). Therefore, as frequently as possible, our church gathers teams of members together to go out into the world to make an impact for the kingdom. This can mean teams going to support our missions partners across the globe or starting evangelistic efforts somewhere new.

Prayer Focus

When we are not able to be overseas sharing the good news of Jesus Christ, we pray fervently that the Lord would work in the lives of internationals and reveal himself to those who don’t yet know of His love. Calvary focuses specifically on 2 regions in our prayers for the nations. These are India and the Dominican Republic. India contains the world’s highest number of poor and unevangelized people and more than a third of the Dominican Republic lives on less than $1.25 a day.
