Calvary Loves Jackson
Our local mission strategy includes an initiative called “Calvary Loves Jackson.” We’re teaming up with the city of Jackson’s Department of Neighborhood Services to help do some basic yard work and house repair for run-down homes in our city. The kind of work that needs to be done does not require any special skills, so you don’t have to be a handyman (or woman) to be involved. The homes we will be working on are owned by either elderly or disabled people who cannot do yard or house work themselves and who do not have the money to hire someone else to do it.
The purpose of this initiative is to show the love of Christ by serving people who have genuine needs, and to share the love of Christ by sharing the Gospel with all of those we come into contact with while doing these projects. God loves Jackson. Jesus died for Jackson. Calvary loves Jackson.
